Buddy Bear Car Wash hired Bono Consulting Civil Engineers to design the site improvements associated with this new commercial car wash in Chicago. The plans were to transform a dilapidated hand car wash into a modern drive-through facility with vacuum stations outside. The challenge on design for this site was to get adequate drainage without disturbing more than 7,500 square feet of pavement, so that stormwater detention would not be required. We accomplished this by carefully surveying the exact amount of pavement that had been previously disturbed in the underground tank remediation. The project has since been completed and is open for car washes.
